City of Redding that� the p.os'sibility of establishing the-State Fish, and
Game Headquarters for Northern I in a city.othe�r than the .City of
Redding is under consideration; and . , .
WHEREAS, the City of Redding and the.adjacent cornmuriities
of Shasta County have consistently supported fish:and gam� aetivities
both financially and otherwise; and .� . . . '
WHEREAS, there are various sports groups orgariizations �in
Redding aetively promoting fish and �game �cons`ervatiori and develop-
ment projects; and . . . . : . .,
WHEREAS, the residents of the Redding area have corisi�stently
supported progressive le'gislation affecting fish and 'game activities; and
WHEREAS, some years ago the City of R.edding conveyed to the
Departrnent of Fish and Game of the State of Cal'ifornia, for a very �
• moderate considerati.on,; four acres- of valuable. City property for the
purpose of de.velgping.a:game-fa.rm and incidental activities; and � � - �
WHEREAS, the City of Redding is favorably situate in the
Shas.ta-Cascade .Wonderland area and:th�e location-of- the�fish and
game headquarters in this city facilitates activities relating to_fish
and game matters; and : .
WHE,R.EAS;..the City.of Redding_.•i's .desirous �that tl�e S.tate Fish � � .
and Game Headquarters in said region be situate.in Redding and it �
is believed in the public interest that they do so; � - �
NOW., THEREFORE, BE IT RES4LVED BY THE CITY GOUNCIL.
OF THE .CITY OF REDDING AS FOLLOWS, TO WIT:
1. That all of the foreg.oing reci�tals are true and correct:
Z. That the Fish and Game Commission and other .officials
of tke State,of Califor.nia�are hereby requested to review the matters
set forth in above resolution and are further requested to establish
such regional headquarters in the City of Redding.
I HEREB�Y CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced
and read at a special meeting of said. City Council of the City of -- -
Redding on the 25th day of March, 1952, and was duly adopted at said
meeting by the following vote:

the meeting.

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Simons and upon roll call
the following Councilmen wer'e preserit: Morrison, Williams and Simons.
Late Anthony:
Mayor Simans stated that the purpose of the meeting was to appoint
someorie to fill 1VIr. Souzas' unexpired term.
MOTION: Made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman �
Morrison to: appoint Mrs, Louise Fancher to fill the unexpired .term '
of Treasure,r of the City of Reddirig.
