The meeting was called to order_ by Mayor 5imons and upon roll call the
following councilmen were present: Anthony, Holyfield and Simons. Absent:

the minutes of the previous meeting of December 17th be approved as mailed to

City Attorney Carlton presented a pxoposed ordinance adding Section 13,OOB (2)
to the Municipal �ode relating to the zoning of Woodlawn, Andrews Subdivision,
Lots 19, 20 and 21 and the northerly 1/2 of Lots 25, 26 and 28 of Olivia S.ub-
• division, th.e .unzoned portions of Lots 22, 23 and 24. of Olivia S.ubdivision and
the .Grandview Heights Subdivision.

Mayor .Simons presented a request from the Redding,Co-Ordinating�C�ouriciT for �
a $50. 00 donation to assist with their varied projects for tlie year, but no action
was taken by the couricil. �

I believe this takes some council action. .

Subject: _ Rebate for permit
Iri may 1947 Mr. Phil Hempstead took out permit #5126.for .th� construction of a
dwellirig, with a valuatiori of $2, 000. 00 and fee of $6. 00. Due-:to some water con-
dition which he claims was the City's responsibility.lze .did not built:the build�ng.
He now wishes to apply the above fee on a permit for a new structure. I advised
him that under the code failure to start the building within 60 days from date of
permit or suspension exceeds one year, the fee can not be refunded. I advised
him also that action taken in this matter would be only with Council approval.
