Garden-Olivia Assessment District No. 2 spoke on their reasons for their continued resistance to the Garden-Olivia project as submittecl under plans and specifications prepared by City Engineer Hill. Excessive costs, the exclusion of Calaboose Creek in the drainage plan and the inclusion of. Locust Avenue in the paving project were the objections voiced. Mayor Simons spoke a few words on the project as being favored by the majority of property owners and that bids, readvertised, would be considerably higher than the bids as submitted July 16th.
