Simans. , , • C'ity Hall, . . . . Redding, Calif. Dear 1Vlayor Simons; . As you know, the Redding Jr . Chamber of Commerce has been sponsoring the 4th of July Fireworks. Celebration at the Lake Redding Park for many years. However, the price of fireworks has increased considerably this year, and the Club finds it is„ unable to continue to finance the purchase of these.fireworks � itself. �Mem'oers of our. Club, who have come to Reddin� from � other cities, have informed us that the cities themselves pay for the fir.eworks, some in part and some completely. These letters were oppos.ing the Office of Price Stabilizatiorn beirig'gr�ted the authority to apply Federal price controls to rates charged by publicly owned electric systems. The acceptance of this bid was on the condition that the avork start within fifteen (15,) days and be completed within sixty five (65) working ,days, such terms being agreed upon personally by Mr. Morgan and such agreement specifically understood as being binding under the contract.
