He further stated the understanding was that since the City had the equipment necessary for maintenance whenever the streets needed repair the school district was • . _-to furnish the �materials_and the Cit�r was.to provide the.�eqnipment and op- erators necessary. to do this repair work. Attention was called to the fact that the streets were in good condition, however did need a seal coat before the�.wet-weather. begins to avoid the development_of chuck holes. Petition Re Aerobatics . Councilman Fleharty, Chairman of the Electrical Committee., ,,advised�it .was the recommendation of the Co;�r�riitte:e;.>the adoption of the standard form of contract for large users of electrical energy when extensive additions to the system are required for the services. Sample form �f contract was that used by the;Sacramento Utility District. J � �� " � �, It was further recommended the additional clause be;inse,rted in the praposed contract -- "irrespective of any ratg schedule the minimum amount shovvn;on this contract shall be paid by the contractor �each month during the life of this contract". � . ' It was the further recommendation of the Electrical Committee that all Contracts to be presented to the Council have copies sent to all councilmen at least 24 hours prior to the meeting. It was requested that the City Attorney be so advised. PROPOSED POWER LINE PURCHASE Councilman Fleharty advised there was no final report on the proposed purchase of the Grandview Power lines, however details were being worked out, and a report would be 'submitted at the next council meeting. Re Jim Hernsted's Agreement - Garbage Re Lease requirements for Airports Re Critical Improvements and Long,Range Parks Planning Councilman Smith advised that Comrnittee rneetirigs will be held re the ab.ove mentioned subjects, and all.councilmen were invited to attend, �o � � RE FLEET.INSURANCE City _IVIanag�er Stites= advised.the-council that Fleet insurance .for the. City of Redding,e�pired October lst, 19�54,and hacl been extended forythirty days.
