PROPOSED LELAND S'T. SANITARY 5EWER
The recommendation of_the Finance Committee, Wilber D. Sirnons,
chairman, was that the 8" sewer in L.eland Street should be replaced
with a 15" and 12" sewer, to serve as a future interceptor sewer for
the Grandview area. The letter to the council, dated June 29th,
further adds: ''Increasing the size of this sewer will moderately in-
crease the cost of construction and this increased cost should be
carried by the general government. It appears possible to finance
the balance of the cost of this line, together with a short line in
Linwood Avenue and Leland Court, only through an assessment
district. ''
City Manager Stites advised the plans and estimate of cost had been
completed. He was authorized to coritact property owners with the
. view of the formation of an assessment district for this proposed con-
