May.or Anthony referred this matter to the Finance and Buildings Committee. H. T. Barnard, speaking from the floor, stated he was in favor of the Auditorium, , but not in favor. of the Sales Tax as business at the present time was faced with a deflated market. Elmer Junkans que,stioned the City Attorney on what constituted a sale.made outside . the`City and `not su:bject to the city sale's tax, stating tliat several concerns�, opposing the Sales Tax, had expressed their determination that pa.rt of�their business=would , , �. - � _ be taken out of the City. Chairman of the Poiice Committee, stated the.imme�diate .problem of parking by the High School had been solved through the cooperation of the students themselves, who we 're.now parking in the lot provided for that purpo;se by the High School.
