Mr. Roberts stated the improvements on State .Street had`caused the excess water to pour into.Parkview, and that some of the property owners had been con-. taeted and had expressed a willingness to consider participation inya street improve- ment program. At the suggestion of the City Manager, it was requested that the Erigirieering Depart- ment prepare a map of all the street lights in the City, to enable Council to ascertain those streets most urgently needing additional facilities. ' ELECTRIC.AL DEPARTMENT � � V Councilman 5mith stated an estimated incorne frorn the Electrical Depa'rtment'in the Benton Tract would show a gross of from $42, 000.`00 to $57, 000. 00 (dependirig-on the coldness of the winter months) and that residents of the area had figured a saving of approximately 27°jo in their electrical bills since City ownership. He further added the Electrical Department would. show a surplus of approximately .$149, 000. 00 at the end of the fiscal year,� and suggested either lower'ing the rates 'or a transfer of some of this money to the street department. ` ' .
