Mayor Fleharty called the meeting to order, with the following councilmen '
present: Fulkerth, Holyfield, Kelly, Simans and Flehartyo
City Manager Cflwden, City Attorney Cibula, Assistant City Attorney Ness and
Director of Finance Pfuntner were also present.
ACCEPTANCE OF SALARY SURVEY
MOTION: Made.by Councilman Holyfield, secflnded by Cfluncilman Fulkerth � � �
that the 6alary. Su�vey submi�ted by Louis� J, Kroeger and Associates be �
accepted, and autharization be granted fflr the payment of the cont'�act bill.
The Vote: Unanimous Ayes.
APPROVAL OF CLAIMS AND PAYROLL
MOTION: Made by Councilman Simons, seconded by Councilman Holyfield

The meeting was called to order, with the following councilmen present:
Fulkerth, Kelly, Simons and Fleharty. Absent: Councilman H�lyfield.

- Director �f Public Works Hal I�4a"rron; Assistant Director D�h Simpson and
Director of Finance Pfuntner were als� present; City Manager Cowden, presentQ
Director of Public Warks �-ial Marron briefed councilmen on the acquisition of
sewer easements on Canal Drive along the Garden Subdivision. He stated there 'Z 32
were thirteen parcels af land involved, and four had granted the necessary ease-
ment; that it was either a case of having the sewer out in the street or to condemn
the property. C�nstructifln of the sewer line in the street w�uld-e�s�approxzmate-ly
$5, 000. 00 more, and this methad was his recommendation� `
MOTION: Made by Councilman Simons, seconded by Councilman Fulkerth that
authorization be granted to make this change of sewer construction in the street
(Canal Drive along Garden Subdivision). The Vote: Unanimous Ayeso
Mro. Marron further stated that in some lflcations there was no alternate as to
route, and some praperty owners were of the opinion the City shfluld pay for the

It was his rec�mmendation council authorize the Director of Public W�rks
to enter into an agreement with the property owner to permit the City to

put sewer thraugh,their property. The Agreement would call for the City

Mayor Fleharty directed the legal department to draw up a tentative agreement
based fln these recommendations. _ _

PROCEDUR.E FOR ACQUI5ITION OF EASEMENTS
Assistant City Attorney .Ness submitted tentative Agreement outlining prflCedure
for the acquisition af right-of-way easements for the installation of trunk sewer
lines. T�iis'is an Agreement "Permit tfl Install Trunk Sewer Lines".
