The rneeting was called to order by Deputy Mayor Simons with the follow-
ing, councilmen pres�ent: Fulkerth, Holyfield and 5imons, Late: Councilman
Kelly. Absent: Mayor Fleharty. •
City Manager Cowden, Assistant City Attorney Ness, Director of Public
Works Marron, Finance Director Rfuntner, Assistant Director of Fublic '
Warks Dfln Simpson were also present, and_City Attorney Cibula arrived
late. ,

FIRE INSURANCE COVERAGE ,.
Under date of May 2,3r,d,. �. copy of a letter received from the General Insurance
Agency regarding ;the ,�.kty,'�.;need�.for ,additional fire insurance coverage was
submitted to all cou�cilmen. -
Mr. Weldon Oxley �ppeared at the m��eting , advising an appraisal had been
made by a representative of the Aetna Insurance Company, and it was the
recommendation the City should have an additional insurance coverage in the `
amount of $285, 000. 00. This additional insurance woulc� cost the City "�� /
a�proxim�.tely •$2, 400. 00 for a �£i�e year premium payment.
Mr. Oxley further recommznded the sewage disposal plant i�e covered under
an inland marine policy in the amount of $78, 440. 00, three year premium
$458. 87. = .
MOTION: Made by Councilman Fulkerth, seconded by Councilman Holyfield
that the recommendations of the General Insurance Agency be approved, and
the City take out additional fire insurance in the amount of $285, 000. 00, plus
the inl>a.:d� marine floater policy. <

ROLLING HILLS SUBDIVISION - Water Pipe Line
Deputy Mayor Sim�ns, Chairman of the Finance Committee, advised there was
sufficient funds and it was therefore his recommendation that Mr. Zieger�be
reimbursed $10, 000. 00 for the construction of that portion of the water pipe � ��
line from the reservoir to the top of the hill, approximately 1200 ft.� of line.
MOTION: Made by Councilman Holyfield, seconded by Councilman Fulkerth
that the City Attorney be authorized to prepare the necessary Resolution
for the transfer of $10, 000. 00 from GA-268 Unappropriated Reserve to W-285
Appropriation Account. The Vote: Unanimous Ayes.

P`ETITION - Annexation Uninhabited Territory
Mr. Capeland advised councilmen the County Boundaries Commission had
approved the annexation of uninhabited territory to the City of Redding, said
property being adjacent tfl Farmers Market, Bechelli Lane,

Deputy Mayor Simons referred this request t�� the R.eereation-and Parks
Commissian for recommendation. -
JOB CLASSIFICATION SURVEY
Mr. Hal Martin,. representative of Louis J. Kroeger and Associates, :briefed
councilman on the survey_now being conducted by his firm, and asked councils'
thinking on a few points: , . ,
