MOTION: Made by Gouncilm�.n Holy-field, 2nd by Councilm�.n Anthony-
- �that the minut�s of th.e previous meeting �f February ZOth and the ad- -
journed meeting of February 27th be approved as mailed to each of the

PROTEST - R.. IV�m Kennicott � �i� '��
Mr. R. M. Kennicott, speaking as a citizen, . asked council if a policy
had been set .regarding s.treets, sidewalks, curbs and guti,ers, and im-
provements, stating that as a subdivider he.had endeav�red to live up
to the specifications set by the City Engineer. P.ar.ticular attention was
directed t�o council action at their last meeting by permitting the sub-
divider of the Village Subdivision the use flf an asphaltic barrier for curb
on the east side of Washington Street. �
Mayor Fleharty advised the east side of Washington Street was not in the
Village Subd�vision, but was flwned b�,r annther individual; that the use of
� asphaltic barrier was a standard used by the State Highwa�r D,epartment on
many of their roadways. � �
RE TRAFFIC .- Kutras Tract /� S�
Mr. Cre�orge Kutras spoke regarding future consideration for the develop-
ment of a street ta relieve traffic and the pressure of c�mmercial
transportatian fr�m the north half of Kutras Tract; suggestian was made.

Mayor Fleharty referred this to the Street C�omrnittee, the City Enginee-r
and the City Attorney to attempt to res�lve the problem and report back

Councilman Holyfield advised the rerouting of the Highway may change the
, entire area and that it would be difficult t� predict at this time just what
will devel�op„ It was his suggesti�n the. area be classified after the c�m-

that the Plarining Comrriission recommendations be accepted and that

City .Attorney Gibula �advised�that land adjoining Mr. Chenoweth's' - �
property was owned by the Catholic Church.

that Mr. Chenoweth present his plans for the development of the land,
showing location of streets, and that the' abutting property owners to the�
West be notified of the proposed abandonment prior to any official action.

RE RIDGE DRIVE SUBDTVISION - Proposed Street Improvements � 7` S�
- Council were advised that while they had committed themselves to
do a certain amount of work to improve streets in the Ridge Drive .
Subdivision, the quality of materiai was of minimum standards, and � .
that it was their �recommendation the subdivid�rs:�be�notified �to �
ascertain if they would be willing to participate in the construction :
of a higher type street.
Mr. Shook and M•r. Andrews spoke on.the City's obligation to fulfil
their agreement. ' � ,
Mr. Wm. Tyrrel� advised council that if the,City will make the cut, ,
he w:ill furnish 6" of rock.
