' City Manager Cowden, City Engineer Ward, Assistant to the City Mariager Preaseau and Director of Finance Courtney were also present. RE WATER REVENUE BONDS - Appointment Fiscal Agent Councilman Simons, Finance Committee, advised that Stone and Youngberg had submitted analysis on proposals received from three banks on appoint- ' ment as Fiscal and Paying Agent for the Water Revenue Bonds, based on the total cost estimated on the full bond issue: -� �� Crocker-Anglo National Bank $11, 811. 00 Bank of America 14, 306. 00 First Western Bank 19, 150, 00 MOTION:� Made by Councilxnan Simons, seconded by Councilman Fulkerth that the Crocker-Anglo National Bank be appointed Fiscal and Paying Agent for the Water Revenue Bonds. Voting was as follows: Ayes: Councilmen - Fulkerth, Kelly, .Puryear, Sixnons and Fleharty Noes: Councilmen - None Absent: Councilmen - None REVISED WATER ESTIMATE - Thompson Lease City Manager Cowden in a memo dated June Z5th recommended approval of an addition to W�rk Order 55-W ( 6" Line in Benton Tract - $960. 00) approved by Council on lYlav l8tri, �as additional funds are necessary to perform work required by the.So�thern Pacific Gompany as a provision under which they will give City an easement to,cross�under their railroad trestle. (Steel casing for distance of 150� - �stimated cost $461. 00) He further stated that construction would soon start on the Redding Elks Lodge and they would be desirous of extending the water line to serve their /y-7 property a� their expense,: -a�d it was�the�etore recommended that size of � the proposed pipe through the railroad right-of-way be changed from a 6" AC to an 8" AC pipe. (Estimated cost $204. 00) MOTION: Made by Councilman Kelly, seconded by,Councilman Simons the City Manager or the Water Department be authorized to spend an additional $675. 0_0 to be added ta Work Order 55-W, in accordance with tne :r_ecommenda - _tion of the City_Manager; _ � . - . - � Voting was as follows: , Ayes: Councilmen - Fulkerth, Kelly, Puryear, Simons and Fleharty Noes: Councilmer�- - iVonz _ _ , _ Absent: Councilmen - None LEASE - National Guard Armory City Engineer Ward advise�l the State survey crew had £ourid an error ir� tihe deseription of the existing lease for the National Guard�Arrnory ex�cuted . two.years ago; this ciescription had been reviewed by the City Engineering ��� Department and it was found that the State had used incorrect basis of bear- ing. An amended lease, with correct description, will lae identical with existing lease, except for the description, Mr. Ward advised. MOTION: Made by Councilman Kelly, seconded by Councilman Simons that the Mayor be authorized to sign amended lease for the National Guard Armory when description of the property is satisfactory with the Engineering Dep�.rt- ' ment. The Vote: Unanimous Ayes. 358 REQUEST SALE OF BEER AT PARK � � City Manager Cowden ad�vised the Pacific Gas and Electric Employee's �� Association had re�quested council approval to sell beer to members only at their annual picnic to be h�ld in Lake Redding Park on June Z7th. .. _. , Councilmen stated they wanted to go on record as establishing a policy � � J that it was not necessary for private parties to have council permission to sell beer at their partieso ` � � ANNUAL STREET DEFICIENCY REPORT `�� �City Engineer Ward advised t`hat Annual Street Deficiency. Report to be � filed by June 30th would be delayed. There being no further business, it was xnoved by Councilman Simons, � � � seconded by Councilman Kelly the meeting be adjourned until 11:30 A,M; Tuesday, June 30th. Noes: Councilmen - None.
