June 28, 1961 A budget session was called .to order by Mayo,r Puryear to consider the requests of several organizations for allocation of funds from the CityTs Advertising and Promotion Fund. He asked each representative to review their program briefly advising the City Council would consider their requests at the regular budget sessions for the 1961�62 fiscal year. . The special meeting was called to order by Mayor Puryear with the following councilmen present: Fulkerth, Martin, Simons and Puryear. Late: Councilman Moty. Mayor Puryear advised the special meeting had been called in order to adopt the Salary Budget for the fiscal year 1g61-62. On request of Mayor Puryear, City Manager Cowden. submitted the following recommendations of the City Council: Classified Employees That all classified employees receive an increase of 5% with the exception of Public Works maintenance men, who will receive an increase of 10%.
