APPOINTMENT - Vice Mayor
M�TION: Made by Councilman Fulkerth, seconded by Councilman Martin that
Councilman Wilber D. Simons be appointed Vice Mayor of� the City of Redding. � `��-'

2 . California State Board of Equalization submits report on distributions of

3. I. C. C. C.N: C. report Red Sluff ineeting March. 21st; next meeting to be

held in Central Valley April 18th.
There being no further business, it was moved by Councilman Martin, seconded
by Councilman Simons the xn_eeting be adjourned. Motion carried.

Mayor Puryear called a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding
in order to award the bid for electric transformer, Bid Schedule No. 190, bid
opening date April 5th.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Puryear with the following councilmen
present: Fulkerth, Martin,. Moty and Puryear. Absent: Couneilman Simons.
Also present were City Attorney Redmon, Electric Superintendent Dais and
Building Inspector Otis.
It was the recommendation of Purchasing Agent Stewart and Electric Superintendent
Dais that bid be awarded to Maydwell and Hartzell, Inc. for a Kuhlman transformer
in the amount of $14, 118. 21 .
MOTI�N: Made by Councilman Martin, seconded by Councilman Fulkerth the ��
recommendation of the Purchasing Agent and Electric Superintendent be approved
and Bid Schedule No. 190 for one (1) 5, 000 KVA Transformer be awarded to

There was considerable discussion on the seventy day delivery date for. this ..
transformer and City Attorney Redmon advised the company would be put on
notice �that due�.to.special, circ.umstances.there_would.be a $fi5. 00 .per day
�penalty charge for any delayed delivery.
There being,no fur.,ther.business, on motion�of Councilman Martin, seconded
