There being no further business, it was moved by Councilman Martin, seconded
by Councilman Puryear the meeting be adjourned until Monday, February 27th
at 12:00 Noon. Motion carried.

The meeting was called,to order by.Vic..e Mayor Simons with the following council-
men present: Fulkerth, Martin, Puryear and Simons. Mayor Fleharty was absent
from the City.
Also present were City Manager Cowden, City Attorney Coshow and Mr. Joseph
H. Redmon.
RESOLUTION - Endorsing Proposed Kimberly Clark Pulp Mill
MOTION: Made by Councilman Martin, seconded by Councilman Puryear that _
Resolution No. 2803 be adopted, a resolution of the City Council of the City of
Redding announcing its support of the proposed Kimberly Clark Pulp Mill.
Voting was as follows:
Ayes: Councilmen - Fulkerth, Martin, Puryear and Simons
Noes: Councilmen - None
Absent: Councilmen - Fleharty
Resolution No. 2803 on file in the office of the City Clerk.
RESOLUTION - Transfer of Funds (Police Department)
MOTION: Made by Councilman Puryear, seconded by Councilman Fulkerth that
Resolution No. 2804 be adopted, a resolution of the City Council of the City of
Redding providing for a transfer of funds. in the budget from Account No. GA=270
Unappropriated Surplus, General Fund, to Account GA -285 Appropriations, Account
GA -440, City Buildings, Capital Outlay.
Voting was as follows.
Ayes: Councilmen - Fulkerth, Martin, Puryear and Simons /ZS'
Noes: Councilmen - None
Absent: Councilmen - Fleharty G
Resolution No. 2804 on file in the office of the City Clerk.
(Relocation of the Police Station)
RE ENFORCEMENT OF ZONING SET -BACK REGULATIONS
A proposed ordinance amending Section 30-23 of the. Municipal Code of the City of

Redding to provide for enforcement of zoning set -back regulations.
Action deferred until the next`regul'a'r meeting of the City Council, pending 'further
study by councilmen. -
NOTICE OF HEARING - Before P. U. C.
City Attorney Coshow advised a Public Hearing will be held in San Francisco on
March 9th regarding the Application of Pacific Air Lines, Inc. for order author-
izing an increase in intrastate'air freight rates and charges and certain intrastate
air passenger fares.
Mr. Coshow advised a request had been received from the City of Ukiah that-'
cities band together to oppose these increases.
Action deferred.
CITY ATTORNEY - Appointment of Joseph Redmon
MOTION: Made by Councilman Fulkerth, seconded by Councilman. Martin that
Mr. Joseph H. Redmon be appointed City Attorney for the City of Redding and
William Coshow be retained on a consulting basis through Friday this week.
Voting was as follows:
Ayes: Councilmen - Fulkerth, Martin, Puryear and Simons
Noes: ' Councilmen - None
Absent: Councilmen - Fleharty
There being no further business, on motion of Councilman Martin, seconded by
Councilman Fulkerth, the meeting was adjourned.
