There being no further business, on motion of Dr. Martin, seconded by Councilman
Chatfield the meeting was adjourned until 9:00 A..M. Friday, July 27th, 1962,
Council Chambers. The Vote: Unanimous Ayes.

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fulkerth with the f'ollowing Councilmen
present. Chatfield, Kriegsman, Martin and Fulkerth. Absent: Councilman .Moty.
Also present were City Attorney Redmon, Director of Finance Courtney and
Planning Director Evans.
PUBLIC HEAR.ING - South City Annexation 1
The hour of 9:00 A.M. having arrived, Mayor Fulkerth continued the Public Hearing
on South City Annexation 1 . �G�
The City Clerk advised no written protests had been received, and Mayor Fulkerth
ascertained no one in the audience protested the proposed annexation.

City Attorney Redmon scanned _Resolution No. 2993•
MOTION: Made by Counc�i,lman Martin, seconded by Councilman G{hatfie�d that
Resolution No.. 2993 be adopte,d, , a resolution of the City Council of= the City�of
Redding calling a Special Election to be held ori September 25, 1962, pertaining
to the annexation of "South City Annexation 1" to the City of-Redding. -
Voting was as follows: '
Ayes: Councilmen - Chatfield, Kriegsman, Martin and Fulkerth
Noes: Councilmen - None
Absen-t: Counci,lmen - Moty

Councilmen we`re advised that Mr. Moty had indicated that if he had been able
to be at this adjourned meeting of the City Council he would have voted 'in favor of
the resolution, and, it was requested this be included in the minutes as a public

adjourned. The Vote: Unanimous Ayes .
