The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fulkerth with the following councilrnen
present: Chatfield, Martin and Fulkerth. Absent: Councilmen Kriegsman.and
Moty. .
A.lso pres'ent were City Attorney Redmon and Director of Finance Courtney.
ORDIIVANCE - Biweekly Pa,y Periods, Sick Leave
MOTION: Made by Councilman Martin, seconded by Councilman Chatfield that
Ordinance No. 687 be adopted, an ord'inance of the City of Redding providing for �`3�
biweekly pay periods, and for a maximum of sixty (60) days sick leave, for City
employees.
Voting was as follows: -

Noes: Councilmen - None
Absent: CounciYmen - Kriegsman and Moty

ORDINANCE - Vacation for Employees with Ten Years Service �
MOTION: Made by Councilman Chatfield, seconded° by`�Councilman M�artin that
Ordinance No. 688 be adopted, an ordinance of the City of Redding amending Section
2-36 of the Redding City Code, 1959, to provide additional two days of vacation for ���
employees with ten (10) years service. �

MOTION: Made by Councilman 1VIartin, 'secorided by Councilman Chatfield that
Ordinance No. 689 be adopted, an ordinance of the City' of'Redding amending Sections
2-14 and 2-17, and repealing Section 2-15, of. the Redding City Code, 1959, relating
to salaries of Classified Employees: � �- ' -�-�J

RESOLUTION - A.dopting Budget for Fiscal Year 1962-63
MOTION: Made by Councilman Chatfield, seconded by Gouncilman Martin that
Resolution No. 2979 be adopted, a resolution of the City Council of the City of � ���—
Redding adopting the Budget for the fiscal year 1962-63.
Voting was as follows: �

RESOLUTION - Setting Tax Rate for Tax Year 1962-63 � � S��
MOTION: Made by Councilman Martin, seconded by Councilman Chatfield that
Resolution No. 2980 be adopted, a resolution of the City Council of the City of
Redding setting the tax rate for the tax year 1962-1963.

RE LEASE - National Guar.d .
. �
A communication dated June 19th to the City Manager, advised the construction of
the new armory would be completed early this month, and the official move would
be affected July l, .1962 and it w.as planned to remove the fencing and to dismantle.
�2.L�� the Quonset huts on the leased property as soon as possible, however due to the fact
active duty for training occurs during the month of July, it was doubted that pre-
mises could be restored to conform.with parag.raph 10 of their lease coincident
with the date of occupancy of the new armory.

It was their request that permission be granted to effect the re�storation within .
sixtydays following the official move. .
MOTION: Made by Councilman Chatfield, seconded�by Councilman .Martin the ,
National Guard Lease be allowed to terminate Sept. 14, 1962 instead.of July,l,
1962. The Vote: Unanimous Ayes .
RESOLUTION - Compensation Schedule for Classified Employees
MOTION: Made by Councilman Martin, seconded by Councilman Chatfield that
Resolution No. 2981 be adopt ed, . a r.esolution of the City Council of the City .of

MOTION: Made by Dr. Martin, seconded by Councilman Chatfield that orginal
�,f� permit for the Redding Wranglerettes, Inc. , be extended .for a period of one y.ear.
The Vote: Unanimous Ayes. �

RE SEWER EXTENSION - T. R. Woods Property (Soon to be annexed) �
MOTION: Made by Councilman Martin, seconded by Councilman Chatfield to
authorize.and direct the Director of Public Works to proceed'with the preliminary
engineering for the extension of the Sulphur Creek Trunk Sewer to a point in the
vicinity of the railroad crossing, and authorize the.City Attorney to prepare an �nL/
agreement between the City and T. R. Woods, developer, providing for ,financial
responsibility in extending the sewer ser�vice in the area proposed to be annexed
by T. R. Woods . The Vote: Unanimous Ayes.

RESOLUTION - Acquisition of�Easement (Kutras Tract) <

Redding finding that the public interest and necessity require the acquisition of
easement in certain real property for public improvement, to-wit: Sanitary ,
