The meeting was ealled to order by Vice Mayor Chatfield with the following council-
men present: Chatfield, Denny, Fulton, Hummel. Mayor Moty arrived at 12:34 P. M.
City Manager Cowden, City Attorney Murphy, Assistant City Manager and Director
of Fi nance Courtney and Public Works Director Arness were also present.
BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS Balanc.. Fiscal Year 1964
MOTION: Made by Councilman Denny, seconded by Councilman Fulton that
Resolution No. 330? be adopted, a resolution of the City Coun�il of the City of
Redding approYing and adopting czrtain appropriation adjustments to the General
� �`� Ledger and to the Subsidiary Ledgers as calculate3 on June 22, 1964, and to be
effective for the balance of the fiscal year ending June 30, 1964

RE ACQUISITION OF FACILITIES - Shasta ,Terrace Water Co.
City Attorney Murpny submitted to all councilmen a memo dated June 18. 1904,
entitled "Acquisition of portion of Shasta Terrace Water Company assets". He
advises the Referee in , Bankruptcy had approved the application of the Trustee in U
Bankruptcy for the sale of certain inventoried assets for a sale price of $5, 767. 00, 33�
the .same price the City .Council had approved earlier, �
The next steps in the procedure will be the pre.paration of the final Order of the
Referee approving the sale, the adoption by City Council of a resolution confirming
previous minute order. The City Attorney will then prepare and file an application
with the Public Utilities Commission for their approval of this purchase and sale.
MAYOR'S OFFICE SPACE
Mayor Moty requested the City.Manager to obtain space and a desk for him in
some convenient_location that he may hold office hours from 1.1 to 12 noon each ��-S
day.
PLANIVING COMMISSION - Appointment
Mayor Moty appointed Dr. Nic'K W. Peterson to the Redding Planning Commission,
effective immediately. All councilmen concurred with this appointment. � ��
R ECESS
Mayor Moty recessed the meeting for budget study.
The meeting reconvened at 2:55 P. M. with the following Councilmen present:
Chatfield, Denny, Hummel and Mayor Moty. Absent: Councilman Fulton.
RES.OLUTION - Fund Transfers & Budget Appropriations Fiscal Yr. 1964-65 /� ��
MOTION: Made by Councilman Chatfield, seconded by Councilman Denny that
Resolution No. 3310 be adopted, a resolution of the City Council of the City of

Redding adopting and approving (A) fund transfers set forth in the preliminary
budget for the fisc�.l year 1964-65, and (B) Budget appr.opriations for the .fiscal
year .1964-65 pertaining to Capital Outlay.

Noes.; Councilmen - None
Absent: Councilmen - Fulton

REQUEST TO LEAVE COUNTRY
MOTION: Made by Mayor Moty, seconded by Councilman Hummel the request
of Councilman Fulton for permission to leave the country for a short vaCation
be approved. The Vote; .Unanimous Ayes.
There being no further business, the mee.ting was adjourned at 3:00 P. M.
