WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS
Redding Swim Club
In a letter dated June 29th, theReddirig Swi:m Club requested
continued use of the Redding Municipal Pool for swim team
practice from 7-9 a, m. , 1.2-1 p. m. , and 7-9 p. m. In a dis- <
cussion of this matter, Recreation Director Nelson indicated
that some thought had been given to keeping the pool open for
I48
the public in the evening from 7-9 p. m. ; however, Mr. Nelson
stated that historically this has not proven to be economically
feasible because of the small number of people who use the
pool during these evening hours. The pool has closed at 7 p. m.
for at least the past seven years and at present is closed at 7 p. m.
Council took no action on the request inasmuch as the re is no con-
flict in the hours the pool is used by the Swim Club `and the'hours
the pool is open to the public at present.
