The meeting was called to order by N]`ayor Moty with the following
Councilmen present: Chatfield, Denny, Doherty, Fulton, and Moty
Also present were City Manager Gowden, Assistant City Manager and
Purchasing Director Stewart, Finance Director Courtney, and Public
Works Director Arness

- Park on Sunday, July 3, 1966, to a group of Shriners who will be ���

MOTION: Made by Counci-lman Fulton, seconded by Councilman

�edding Park on Sunday, July 3, 1966. The Vote: Unanimous Ayes
RESOLUTION - Approving Appropriation Adjus_tments - 1965-66
MOTION: Made by Councilman Chatfield, seconded by Councilman Denny
that Resolution No. 3715 be adopted, a resolution of the City Council of
the City of Redding app roving and adopting ce rtain app rop riation adjustments ��5
to the General Ledger and to the Subsidiary Ledgers as calculated on
June-21, 1�966, and to-be�effective for the remainder of the fiscal year ending
June 30, 1966. - -

the, City of Redding adopting and approving budget appropriations for the
fiscal year 1966-1967. . . . - -.

RESOLUTION - Compensation Schedule for Classified Employees
MOTION: Made by Councilman Denny, seconded by Councilman
Chatfield that Resolution No. 3717 be adopted, a resolution of the City
Council of the City of '�edding setting forth -the compensation schedule
for all classified employees of the City of Redding.

approving the Schedule of Officers� Salaries as ,set forth in the Annual
Budget, 1966-67. , �

PURCHASE OF USED BARBER-GREENE PAVE12
Purchasing Director Stewart advised Council that the J, H. Hein Company
has submitted an offer to sell the City an 18 year old B.arber-Greene Paver
for $1, O�kO. 00, tax included. Mr. Stewart said this, paver is in good condition
and it is his re.commendation the City purchase it. At present the City rents
the Paver and, if it is purchased; it is estimated, this piece of equipment can
���' be amortized in 2 to 2-1/2 yea rs. ,
MOTION: Made by Councilman Denny, seconded by Councilman Doherty
approving the,purchase of a used Barber-Greene Paver from �the J. H.
Hein Comp.any at a price of $1, 040. 00, tax included. _

HEALTH INSU.RANCE
There was an informal discussion_ re Council decision on City health �
insurance and it was the. consensus of Council that the present health
�
��� insurance plan should be reviewed with City employees, and then a plan
structured.
UNDERGROUNDING OF ELECTRIC FACILITIES
In a discussion of the City�s position re undergrounding of electric
��� facilities, it was decided to postpone a decision of any permanent policy
and rate chang,e until a study has been made; howeve r, a study is to be
undertaken immediately and policy established as soon as possible. Until
