The meeting v,�as� called to order by Mayor Moty with the following - � Councilmen present: Denny, Doherty, and Moty � A.bsent: -Councilrnen� Chatfield and Fulton LITIGA.TION - Bechelli Lane Widening .� Mayor Moty declared an Executive Session to discuss terms of settlement of City versus A1eo Land Company condemnation action for Bechelli Lane widening . . � ' _„ _ � The meeting reconvened. - � - yT��� MOTION: Made by Councilman Denny,� seconded by'Councilman Doherty approving the settlement figure of $15, 200 for acquisition of land from A.leo L'and Company taken for improvement of Bechelli Lane. The Vote: Unanimou�s A.yes � - � � � - ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT G'ORPORATION � City A.ttorney submitted Resolution No.- 3644 approving the Over-A11 Economic Development Plan to be submitted by the Economic Development Corporation of Shasta County to the-Economic Development Administration. There was discussion as to the urgency of this matter, inasmuch as all of the Councilmen have not had an opportunity to study the program in detail. The question also arose as to whether arnendments to the program may be made after it has been submitted. City P,.ttorney Murphy said he feels the urgency in approving this program is in order that Shasta County may obtain a priority to be designated as a Redevelopment Title I area. � - - �. ��.'� � , , � �� : ,. .. � __ _ J MOTION: Made by Councilman Doherty, seconded by Councilman�Denny that Resolution No. 3644 be adopted, a resolution of the City Council of the City of Redding approving the Over-A.11 Economic Development Plan submitted by the Economic Development Corporation of Shasta County to the Economic Development A..dministration, and authorizing the Mayor to sign said Resolution when and only when the two absent members of Council had orally approved the Over-A.11 Economic Development program and the City Manager and Planning Director had approved it, and the City A.ttorney had ascertained from the Regional Office of the Economic Development A.dministration that amendments to the program: as to the addition of projects can be made. Voting was as follows: A.yes; Councilmen - Denny, Doherty, and Moty Noes; Councilmen - None A.bsent: Councilmen - Chatfield and Fulton Resolution No. 3644 on file in the office of the City Clerk A.DJOURNMENT There being no further business, at the hour of 1:00 P.
