2025 Fire Season Staffing
Update
Current Staffing Levels:
•Operating with 3 fewer firefighters per day
since the implementation of the Attrition
Plan
Operational Impacts:
•Slower initial fire containment
•Increase in 2 alarm fires -larger, longer-
lasting fires
•Increased workload and fatigue
•Greater reliance on mutual aid, which may
be delayed
