' The meeting was called to order at 12:00 Noon by Mayor Moty with the following Councilmen presen�t: :Chatfield, Denny, and Moty � Absent: Councilmen Doherty and Fulton Also present were Assistant City Manager and Purchasing Director Stewart, Public Works Director Arness, Planning Director Harris. and Associate Planner Nebon, and City Clerk Brayton, CONTIrlUED PUBLIC HEARING - Twin View Annex No. 1 The hour of 12:00 Noon having arrived, Mayor Moty opened the continued public hearing re protests - Twin View Annex No. 1 The City Clerk advised that no additional protests had been filed subsequent to the public hearing held on August 26, 1968, and the Mayor ascertained there were no written protests to be filed from the floor. MOTION: Made by Councilan Denny, seconded by Councilman Chatfield that the public hearing be closed. The Vote: Unanimous Ayes RESOLUTION - re majority protest MOTION: Made by Councilman Chatfield, seconded by Councilman i Denny that Resolution No. 4127 be adopted, a resolution of the � ' City Council of the City of Redding finding that a majority protest -y'.�� � 1 has not been made as of the close of the protest hearing on Twin IView Annex No. 1. ��, Voting was as follows: 'Ayes: Councilmen - Chatfield, Denny, and Moty Noes: Councilmen - None Absent: Councilmen - Dolierty and Fulton Resolution No. 4127 on file in the office of the City Clerk. RESOLUTION - calling Special Election MOTION: Made by Councilman Denny, seconded by Councilman Chatfield that Resolution No. 4128 be adopted, a resolution of the City Council of the City of Redding calling a special election to be held on November 5, 1968, pertaining to the annexation of "Twin View Annex No. 1" to the City of Redding, and establishing and designating the voting precincts and polling places for said I � election and appointing election officers and fixing their compen- sation.
