The meeting was called to order at 5:00 P.M. by Mayor Moty with the following Councilmen present: Anderson, Chatfield, Denny, Fulton, and Moty. A.lso present were City Manager Brickwood, A.ssistant City Manager Courtney, City A.ttorney Murphy, Public Works Director A.rness , Planning Director Harris, Personnel Director Reynolds, and City Clerk Brayton. RESOLUTION - re Salary Plan for all Classified Employees MOTION: Made by Councilman A.nderson, seconded by Councilman Fulton that Resolution No. 73-64 be adopted, a resolution of the City Council of the City of Redding amending the salary plan for all classi- fied employees of the City of Redding for remainder of the 1972-1973 fiscal year, frorn and including June 13, 1973, and approving said �3� amended salary plan for all classified employees of the City of Redding for the 1973-1974 fiscal year. Voting was as follows: ' Ayes: Councilmen - A.nderson, Chatfield, Denny, Fulton, and Moty Noes: Councilxnen - None A.bsent: Councilmen - None Resolution No. 73-64 on file in the office of the City Clerk. RESOLUTION - re Amendments to Memorandum of Understanding - IBEW MOTION: Made by Councilman Denny, seconded by Councilman Chatfield that Resolution No. 73-65 be adopted, a resolution of the City ��� Council of the City of Redding approving certain amendments to the Memorandum of Understanding entered into between the City and the I. B.E,W. , Local Union 1245 , on July 28, 197 0. Voting was as follows: Ayes: Councilmen - Anderson, Chatfield, Denny, Fulton, and Moty Noes: Councilmen - None Absent: Councilmen - None Resolution No. 73-65 on file in the office of the City Clerk. RESOLUTION - Establishing schedule of salaries for all officers and exempt po sitions MOTION: Made by Councilman Chatfield, seconded by Councilman Anderson that Resolution No. 73-66 be adopted, a resolution of the City Council of the City of Redding establishing the schedule of salaries for all officers and exempt positions of the City of Redding for the 1973- �974 fiscal year and for the remainder of the 1972-1973 fiscal year. �'�� Voting was as follows: Ayes: Councilmen - Anderson, Chatfield, Denny, Fulton, and Moty Noes: C ouncilmen - None Abs ent: C ouncilmen - None Resolution No. 73-66 on file in the office of the City Clerk City Manager Brickwood stated that the adoption of Resolution No. 73-64 does not close out the dispute with the Police Officers' Association re- garding time and a half pay as far as the City is concerned. Mr. Brickwood said he believes the issue can be resolved with further negotiation, and 88 that he would personally undertake to resolve the dispute to the mutual satisfaction of both parties. Dan Frost, attorney for the Police Officers' Association said he was in agreement with Mr. Brickwood's statement. A.DJOURNMENT ( There being no further busines s , at the hour of 5:20 P. M. , on the motion of Councilman Chatfield, seconded by Councilman A.nderson; the meeting was adjourned.
