The meetin!g was called to order at 1:00 P.M. by Mayor Deriny with the following Councilmen present: Anderson, Demsher, Fultori, and Denny. Ab�sent: Councilman Pugh � ' ' � � A.lso present were C��ty Manager Brickwood, Assistant City Manager Courtney, City Attorney Murphy, Director of Personnel and Labor Relations Reynolds, !Fire Chief Wade, and City Clerk Brayton. � RESOLUTION - Ratifying Amendments to Memorandum of Understanding '� Between City and Internation A.ssociation of Fire Fighters , Local Union 1934 City Manager Brickwood report ed that staff has been meeting and con- ferring witih representatives of Local Union 1934 of the International Association of Fire Fighters regarding amendments to the Memorandum of Understanding between the City and said Union, and the membership of the Union has ratified said amendments. In essence, the amendments result in a pay increase of 8-1/2%, and a decrease of 8 work hours per ��� week. Mr; Brickwood noted that the Union has given back some vacation time and some holiday pay. The net cost to the City for the period `�,�':�., December 29, 1974 t�o June 30, 1975 is approximately $3500.00. Mr. Brickwood recommended that Council adopt Resolution No. 74-179 , approving the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding as amended effective December 29, 1974, Mr. Brick I oo',d gave special recognition to staff negotiators and to Boyd Wilson alnd Ray� Mills of the Redding Fire Department and Vince Riddle, Repre�sentati�e of the International Association of F`ire Fighters, for their efforts in reaching agreement on this issue. MOTION: Made by Councilman Dexnsher, seconded by Councilman A.nderson that Resolution No. 74-179 be adopted, a resolution of the City Council of the City of Redding approving the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding between the designated representatives ' of the City of Redding and the designated representatives of Local Union 1934 of the International Association of Fire Fighters, AFL-CIO, as amended effective December 29 , 1974. Voting was as follows: Ayes: Councilmen - A.nderson, Demsher, Fulton, and Denny Noes: Councilmen - None A.bsent: Councilmen ',- Pugh Resolution No. 74-179 is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
