Mr. Harris reported that'upon completion of the'formal petition signed by the property owner, the necessary ordi- ; nance.will be submitted for Council consideration. ` PA.RKING PROHIBI TION - Hillto Drive � ; Traffic Engineer Hamilton submitted the recommendation of the Traffic and Parking Commission that parking be prohibited on Hilltop Drive from Route 44 to the City limits north of Doc Clearie's .� Mr;: Haxnilton ex- plained that this re.commendation includes the two sections approved by ' �/��/�, Council on A.ugust 19�, 1974 and adds the intervening section between ; East Palisades Avenue and Route 5 as suggested by Council. It is also , recoxnmended that th'e parking prohibition become effective with the in- stallation of curbs. � � MOTION: Made by Gouncilman Demsher, seconded by Councilman � Pugh approving the r1ecommendation of the Traffic and -Parking Com- mission re parking prohibition on Hilltop Drive as outlined herein, and instructing the City A.ttorney to prepare the necessary resolution. The Vote: Unanimous A.yles TRAFFIC STUDY - Core A.rea, City of Redding Harlan Moyer., Regional Manager of CH2M Hill, submitted an Interim � Report, Dated September 1974, of Engineering A.nalysis of Downtown Traffic and Safety Needs, Redding, California, Mr. Moy.er explained that there has been a� time delay as their firm was unable to success- fully obtain and use an extensive number of computer programs dev- " J/��l,/ eloped by the Califorinia Division,:,of Highways in their 1967 Compre- / hensive Redding A.rea Transportation Study, He stated, however, that , they have overcome these obstacles and request an extension of their contract with the City to November 15 , 1974, at which time they will deliver the clraft fina�l report to the City. Mr. Moyer stressed that the Interim Report is a compilation of statistical data collected to date and does not.include recommendations . ' � . Mayor Denny asked Mr. Moyer if he would be available at the next , Council meeting to answer questions after Council has had an bppor- 'tunity to review the report.
