Recommendation Approve the Local Appointments List consisting of Exhibits A and B relative to 2024-ZS term expirations and vacancies for City of Redding Boards, Commissions, and Committees to fulfill the requirements of Government Code Section 54972 (Maddy Act). Fiscal Impact There are minor cas�s for staff time associated with the information preparation required to comply with the Maddy Act. Alternative Action The City Council (Council) could decline �o approve the Loca1 Appointments List, consisting of Exhibits A and B. This would result in the City of Redding being in violation of Government Code Section 54972. Background/Analysis Government Code Section 54972 provides that on or before December 31 of each year, a list of appointments of all ongoing boards, commissions, and committees appointed by the Council shall be prepared and submitted as follows: • A list of all appointive terms which will expire during the next calendar year, with the name of the incumbent appointee, the date of appointment, the date the term expires, and the necessary qualifications for the position—E�ibit A; and • A list of all boards, commissions, and committees whose members serve at the pleasure of the Council and the necessary aualifications for each position—Exhibit B.
