WHEREAS, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife Sport Fish Restoration Act Boating
Access Program has provided funds in the amount of $428,167 for the project shown above; and
WHEREAS, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife has been delegated the responsibility
for the administration of this grant program, establishing necessary procedures; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife
require a resolution certifying the approval by the potential grantee's governing board before
execution of the grant agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redding will implement the Boating and Fishing Access Maintenance
and Operations Project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redding will accept the funds and enter into an agreement with the
California Department of Fish and Wildlife to carry out the project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Redding has the legal authority and is authorized to enter into a funding
agreement with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding as follows:
I The City of Redding City accepts the $428J67 in Sport Fish Restoration Act Boating
Access Program funds.
2. Pursuant and subject to all of the terms and provisions of the California Department of Fish
and Wildlife, the City of Redding City Manager, or designee is hereby authorized and
directed to enter into an agreement with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife
and receive the grant funds, any amendments thereto, with the California Department of
Fish and Wildlife, and take such other actions necessary or appropriate to maintain grant
funding.
3. The City of Redding City Manager, or designee is hereby authorized and directed to submit
any required documents, funding requests, and reports required to maintain grant funding.
4. Certifies that the project will comply with any laws and regulations including, but not
limited to, the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), legal requirements for
building codes, health and safety codes, the California Labor Code, disabled access laws,
and, that prior to commencement of the project, all applicable permits will have been
obtained.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Redding on the 17t' day of December, 2024, and was duly adopted at
said meeting by the following vote:
