(the "ActSi), which �ontains pi:ovisions relating to �onflicts c�f�nterest which potentially affect all officers, emplo�ees and cansultants af the City of Redding {the "City") and which requires aIl public agencies to adopt and promulgate a c�nflict of interest code, and �VHE A�, the City Council adopted � Confl�ct of Interest Cc�de (the "�ode"), which was last amended on November 7, �023, in compliance with the Act; and WI3E AS, subsequent chang�d circurnstances within the City have made it advisable and necessary to amend and update fihe Appendix tc� the City's Code pursuant to Sectic�ns 8"7306 and 87307 of the Act; and W�IE r�S; the patential penalties ft�r violation af the provisir�ns of the Act are substantial and may include crimin�.l and civil liabiiity, as well as equitable ielief which could result in the City be�ng restrained or prevented frotn acting in cases where the pravisians of the Act may have been vir�lated� and �I-�E AS, C}rdinance No. 2426, ad�pted c�n I�ecember 16, 200�, ardained that Redding Munici�al Code Title 2, +Chapter 2.90 - Cc�nflict c�„f Int�rest fo�I�esignated Pasitions v.f t�e City; Section 2.90.020, Appendix A and Appendi� �, be perit�dically updated 6y resolution of the City Council and shall constitute the �onflict Interest Code of the City and for each agency fQr which the City serves as the Code Reviewing Body; N+D�V, THE Y+'C} , �T rS HE BY SC►LVED by the City Council that "Appendix A" of the City's Cc�nflict of Interest Code be amended, as attached and made a part hereof by reference, to accurately r�flect designated positions and disclosure categories within the City's jurisdiction.
