Fiscal Impact As no salary increases or changes to salary are assaciated with this action, there is na fiscal impact associated with this action. Alternative Action The City Council could elect nat to approve the resolution amending the salary schedule title and provide staff alternate direction. Backgound/Analysis The proposed action would rename the salary schedule which is used for unrepresented non- exempt employees to remove the referenee to "part-time" status. The "part-time" language in the document title limits the City of Redding's departments ability to fill any of the unrepresented hourly positions with anything other than part-time employment. Amending the title will provide consistency with the Redding Independent Employees' Organization Salary Schedule for Non- Exempt employees while removing limitations preventing the unrepresented hourly positions from being filled as a regular full-time position. Staff will continue to designate status (full time, part-time, temporary, seasonal, etc.) when requesting to add new positions or 11 existing vacancies using the status codes listed in various Memoranda of Understanding and the Employment and Benefit Policies for Unrepresented Employees.
