2. �'ursuant ta Streets and Highways Code $334,the City Council determines this portian af Center
Street and Shasta Street ta be excess and is unnecessary for present or prospective public street
use.
3, The City Council approves the request to summariiy vacate this portion af Center Street and
Shasta Street adjacent to the Stackyard Block as shown on the C?riginal Town af Redding,filed in
the Office af the County Recorder i�� Baok of Old P1ats at Page 55, Shasta County Records as
described in Exllibit`�A"and shown on the attached Exllibit"B.''
4. The vacatiatl of this portion of Center Street and Shasta Street is consistent with the General Plan,
This actian will: redcice maintenance needs of pubTic streets; will not pareclude uses consistent
with current zoning;and encourages desi�n compatible with its surro�ndin;s.
5. The vacation of t1�is portic�n of Ceilter Street arid Shasta Stceet qualifies as Categorically E�empt
fi•oin environrnental review u�zder the Califcrrnia Envirot�mental Quality Act Guidelines Section
15305—Minc�r Alteratians in Land Use Limitations. Nc�chailges in land use or density will occur
