RESOLUTION NO. 2005-84
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDDING AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN DIAGRAM OF
THE CITY BY ADOPTING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT
GPA-4-03
WHEREAS, following the required public hearing, the City Council of the City of Redding
determined that the General Plan Diagram be amended by incorporating therein the changes
contained in General Plan Amendment GPA-4-03, involving 5370 Rancho Vista Way and
5490 Rancho Vista Way as follows and as shown on the map attached hereto:
1. 5370 Rancho Vista Way from "Residential, 1 to 2 dwelling units per acre" to "Residential,
2 to 3.5 dwelling units per acre."
2. That portion of 5490 Rancho Vista Way east of Clover Creek from "General Industry" to
"Residential, 2 to 3.5 dwelli.ng units per acre" and "General Industry."
WHEREAS, on May 26,2005, the Shasta County Airport Land Use Commission adopted
Resolution 2005-002, finding that the proposed land use designations are consistent with the
objectives and policies of the Redding Municipal Airport Comprehensive Land Use Plan; and
WHEREAS, following the required notice in accordance with law, the City Council held
a public hearing and carefully considered the evidence at the hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED that the City Council, having reviewed
Environmental Impact Report EIR-I-03, stating that with mitigation the project has no significant
impact upon the environment, hereby amends the General Plan Diagram of the City of Redding by
incorporating therein the changes contained in General Plan Amendment GP A-4-03 as shown on the
maps attached and made a part hereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redding that this
resolution shall not have the force and effect oflaw and shall not become effective unless and until
Ordinance No. 2349, approving the Development Agreement by and between the City of Redding
and Shastina Ranch Development Company, Inc., shall be introduced, adopted, and thereafter
becomes legally effective pursuant to the terms provided for in that ordinance.
