RESOLUTION NO. 2005-56
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE ELECTRIC UTILITY
DIRECTOR TO SIGN THE CALIFORNIA-OREGON TRANSMISSION PROJECT
OWNERS AGREEMENTS
WHEREAS, Redding has completed the purchase of the City of Shasta Lake's ownership percentage
of 1.5856 percent or approximately 25.3696 MW of transmission capacity in the California Oregon
Transmission Project (COTP); and
WHEREAS, the Transmission Agency of Northern California (TANC) has requested the City of
Redding to sign the COTP owner agreements, which include the California-Oregon Transmission Project
(COTP) Interim Participation Agreement (IP A), the Project Operation and Maintenance Agreement (POMA),
the COTP- Western Area Power Administration Facilities Interconnection Agreement (Western IA) and the
Owners Coordinated Operation Agreement (OCOA).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding that they
deem it in the best interests of the City's Electric Utility Customers to authorize the City Manager or his
designee, to sign the COTP owner agreements.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced, read, and adopted at a regular
meeting of the City Council on the 3rd day of May 2005, by the following vote:
