RESOLUTION NO. 2004-121 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING DESIGNATING THE MARKET STREET PROJECT AREA 2004 AMENDMENT SURVEY AREA WHEREAS, the Redding Redevelopment Agency (Agency) is requesting that the City Council of the City of Redding (City Council) designate a survey area for the purpose of determining the feasibility of amending the Market Street Redevelopment Project Area; and WHEREAS, Section 33354.6 of the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33000, et seq.) provides that when an agency proposes to amend a redevelopment plan under specific circumstances including adding territory or significant additional capital improvement projects, as determined by the agency, the agency shall follow the same procedure and the legislative body is subject to the same restrictions as for the adoption of a plan; and WHEREAS, Section 33310 of the Health and Safety Code provides that a survey area for project area amendment study purposes may be designated by resolution of the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding as follows: 1. That the City Council does hereby designate as a redevelopment survey area those areas shown on the map entitled "Proposed Market Street Project Area 2004 Amendment Survey Area" (Exhibit A) attached hereto and made a part hereof. 2. That the City Council hereby finds and determines that said designated survey area requires further study to determine if a redevelopment project or projects within said area are feasible.
