LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT "B"
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING APPROVING
THE REPORT OF THE ENGINEER AS FILED, AND DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO:
(1) SET A PUBLIC HEARING DATE RE LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE "B;" AND
(2) ADD UNIT 3 OF THE LAND PARK SUBDIVISION INTO AREA 17 OF THE
DISTRICT; AND
(3) RE-DESIGNATE A SUBDIVIDED, REMAINING R-l PARCEL OF THE
CARRIAGE GLEN SUBDIVISION AS UNIT 6 IN AREA 4 OF THE DISTRICT;
AND
(4) ANNEX UNIT 4 OF THE MOUNTAIN VIEW HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION INTO
AREA 16 OF THE DISTRICT; AND
(5) ANNEX UNITS 1 AND 2 OF THE ROBLES NORTH SUBDIVISION INTO AREA
18 OF THE DISTRICT; AND
(6) ANNEX UNITS 3A, 5, 6, AND REMAINING PARCELS, R-l AND R-2, 0]1' THE
GOLD HILLS SUBDIVISION INTO AREA 19 OF THE DISTRICT; AND
(7) LEVY AND COLLECT ASSESSMENTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2004-2005 PURSUANT
TO THE LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING ACT OF 1972, COMMENCING WITH
SECTION 22500 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE.
WHEREAS, the City Council heretofore ordered the consolidated formation of Landscape
Maintenance District "B" (District) under authority granted by the Landscaping and Lighting Act of
1972, as set forth in Part 2 of Division 15 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California; and
WHEREAS, minor changes in existing improvements are proposed for Fiscal Year 2004-2005;
and
WHEREAS, the Engineer has filed his Report with the City Clerk pursuant to Streets and
Highways Code Section 22565, et seq.; and
WHEREAS, this Resolution is made in satisfaction ofthose requirements set forth in the Streets
and Highways Code Sections 22607 and 22624;
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council as follows:
1. Pursuant to the Streets and Highways Code Sections 22586, 22607 and 22623, the Report of the
Engineer, as filed, is hereby approved.
2. It is the intention of the City Council to:
(a) Add Unit 3 of the Land Park Subdivision into Area 17 of the District; and
(b) Add Unit 6 ofthe Carriage Glen Subdivision into Area 4 of the District; and
(c) Annex Unit 4 of the Mountain View Heights Subdivision into Area 16 of the District; and
(d) Annex Units 1 and 2 of the Robles North Subdivision into Area 18 ofthe District; and
(e) Annex Units 3a, 5,6, and remaining parcels, R-1 and R-2, of the Gold Hills Subdivision into
Area 19 of District "B;" and

3. The existing improvements for each subdivision in the District are set forth in Part G ofthe
Engineer's report, on file with the City Clerk, under the column entitled "Landscape
Description."
4. The general locations of the lots and remaining parcels in the District are set forth in Part G
of the Engineer's Report, on file with the City Clerk, under the column entitled
"Access/Location. "
5. Minor improvements are proposed for Fiscal Year 2004-2005. Only costs for the
maintenance of landscaping, miscellaneous lighting, mulching, vandalism, repairs to the
irrigation system, electric and water charges, replacement of vegetation as necessary, removal
of trimmings, rubbish, debris, maintenance of the detention basin, and other improvements
to remove or cover graffiti, administrative costs, painting of any walls, and such other
maintenance and incidental expenses as are authorized by Streets and Highways Code
Sections 22526 and 22531, will be assessed.
6. A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 1,2004, at the hour of7:90 p.m., or as soon
thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the City Council Chambers located at 777 Cypress
A venue, Redding, California, to address the proposed detachment and annexation of the
territories described herein and the levy and collection ofthe proposed assessment for Fiscal
Year 2004-2005. The proposed assessment for Fiscal Year 2004-2005 of $7.46 per parcel
is the same as last year's assessment.
7. That the City Clerk shall give notice of said hearing pursuant to the Streets and Highways
Code Sections 22608 and 22626(a).
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution of intention was introduced,
read and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council on the 4th day of May, 2004, by the
following vote:
