A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF
REDDING OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND
DESIGNATED "ENTERPRISE ANNEX NO. 78-2" AND GIVING
NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING PROTESTS THERETO.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding
as follows :
1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 , a petition signed by owners of
more than twenty-five per cent (25%) of the land in the hereinafter
described property by area and by assessed value as shown on the
last equalized assessment roll of the County of Shasta, was filed
with the City Council of the City of Redding on March 6 , 1978 .
2. That the territory which the petitioners request be
annexed to the City of Redding and which said City and its Council
propose to annex, is situate in the County of Shasta, State of
California, hereby designated "Enterprise Annex No. 78-2" , and
more particularly described in "Exhibit A" attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.
3. That the Local Agency Formation Commission of Shasta
County, California, did in session duly assembled on Wednesday,
April 12 , 1978 , consider and approve the proposed annexation of
said "Enterprise Annex No. 78-2" , as above described .
4. That Monday, June 19 , 1978 , at the hour of 7 : 30
P.M. in the Council Chambers in the Police Department and City
Council Chambers Building , 1313 California Street, Redding , Shasta
County, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and
where any person now owning real property within the uninhabited
territory above described and proposed to be annexed to the City
of Redding , and having any objections to the proposed annexation , •
may appear before the Council of the City of Redding , and show
cause why such uninhabited territory should not be so annexed to
the City of Redding. The protest must be in writing , may be filed

at any time prior to the termination of said hearing for objections
to the proposed annexation, and shall state the name or names of
the owner or owners of property affected and the description and
area of such property in general terms .
S. The City Clerk of the City of Redding is hereby
authorized and directed to cause a copy of this Resolution to be
published twice, but not oftener than once a week , in the Redding
Record-Searchlight, a newspaper of general circulation published
in said City of Redding, the city to which it is proposed to annex
the aforesaid territory, said publication to be complete at least
twenty (20) days prior to the date set for hearing.
6. The City Clerk of the City of Redding is further
authorized and directed to cause a copy of this Resolution to be
published twice , but not oftener than once a week, in the Valley
Times , a newspaper of general circulation published outside of
the City of Redding but in the County of Shasta , in which is
located the territory proposed to be annexed, said publication to
be complete at least twenty (20) days prior to the date set for
the hearing.
7 . The City Clerk is further authorized and directed to
cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to
each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be
annexed was assessed in the last equalized County assessment roll
available on the date the above said proceedings were initiated,
at the addresses shown on said assessment roll or known to said
Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and
the designation of the lands in which he has an interest , either
legal or equitable , with said Clerk, such notice to be given not
less than ten (10) days before the first public hearing on the
proposed annexation.
8. The City Clerk is further authorized and directed
to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed
to the Board of Supervisors of Shasta County, since the County of

Shasta has a legal interest in certain portions of the territory
proposed to be annexed.
9 . The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to
be given to such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto,
in the manner required by law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Redding on the 1st day of May , 1978 , and was duly
adopted at said meeting by the following vote :

described as follows:
Commencing at the northeast corner of the S. E. 1/4 of the S. E. 1/4 of
Section 31 , T. 32 N. , R. 4 U. , M.D. *1. ; thence S. 89°42'30" W. , 676.53 feet to
the City of Redding boundary line and the point of beginning; thence along said
City of Redding boundary line, S. 89°47' 50" W. , 604.44 feet to a point 25. 00
feet east of the centerline of Hilltop Drive as shown on the map recorded Janu-
ary 25, 1957, in Book 19 of Land Surveys, at page 31 , Shasta County Records ,
said point being the original east line of Hilltop Drive; thence along said line
N. 2°07' 30" N. , 1550 feet more or less to the south line of Dana Drive; thence
along said line N. 88°01 ' 18" E. , 63.00 feet; thence along a 270.00 foot radius
curve to the right, through an angle of 23°33' 20" , for a distance of 111 . 00
feet; thence S. 68°25 ' 22" E. , 496.99 feet; thence along a 630.00 foot radius
curve to the left , through an angle of 21°48'00" for a distance of 239.70 feet;
thence N. 89°16 '30" E. , 160 feet more or less to the east line of the parcel
