HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso. 1976-177 - Ordering vacation and abandonment of a portion of Olive Street south of Oak Ridge DriveRESOLUTION NO. 7` -/ 71 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF OLIVE STREET SOUTH OF OAK RIDGE DRIVE. WHEREAS, proceedings have been duly conducted and held in accordance with the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (Streets and Highways Code Sections 8300, et seq.), and WHEREAS,. the City Council of.the City of Redding finds and determines that the hereinafter described real property is not necessary for present or prospective public street purposes, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding hereby resolves and orders as follows: 1. That certain real property in the City of Redding, County of Shasta, State of California, being a portion of Olive Street, south of Oak Ridge Drive, as the same is more particularly described as follows: All that portion of Olive Avenue, 60.00 feet wide, as shown on the Map of Bostwick's Addition, as per plat thereof recorded December 13, 1888, in Book of Old.Plats at page 66, Shasta County Records, lying between the southwesterly ex- tension of the southerly right of way line of Oak Ridge Drive and the southwesterly extension of the northerly right of way line of Greenwood Street. be and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned as a public street. 2. That the City of Redding does reserve therein an ease- ment for electric purposes lying in, over and under the easterly fifteen (15.00) feet thereof. 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Redding be and she is hereby authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution, attested by the City Clerk under the seal of the City of Redding, to be recorded in the office of the Shasta County Recorder, Redding, California.
