A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF'REDDING
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 3240 BY THE SUBSTITUTION OF A
NEW "EXHIBIT A" ATTACHED THERETO, ESTABLISHING A NEW
RATE SCHEDULE.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 3240 of the City Council of the
City of Redding granted to Finer Living, Inc., a California cor-
poration, a nonexclusive franchise to use the public roads, streets
and highways of the City of Redding for the purpose of constructing,
operating and maintaining a community antenna television system in
the City of Redding, for a term of twenty (20) years from and after
the date of acceptance of the franchise, under and pursuant to the
terms and provisions of Chapter 13.1 of the Redding City Code,
1959, as amended, and
WHEREAS, such resolution was amended by Resolution No.
4352, adopted August 17, 1970, by the addition to the rate schedule
of a basic customer rate for underground service to be effective
for a period of five years from and after July 1, 1970, and
WHEREAS, "Exhibit A" of Resolution No. 3240 was also
amended by minute order of the Redding City Council at the meeting
of May 3, 1965, as a result of the voluntary action of Finer Living,
Inc. in proposing certain reductions in rates from those originally
established in the aforesaid "Exhibit A", and
WHEREAS, on October 21, 1974, the City Council adopted
Resolution No. 74-149, rescinding the minute order of May 3, 1965,
and Resolution No. 4352, and substituting a new "Exhibit A" to
Resolution No. 3240, establishing a new interim rate schedule, and
WHEREAS, on March 29, 1976, Finer Living again made
application to the Redding City Council for increases in the
existing rate schedule authorized under the aforesaid franchise, and
WHEREAS, at the direction of Council, City staff has
carefully studied the rate increase application of Finer Living
and has made an extensive report and detailed recommendations to
Council in connection with same, and

WHEREAS, the City Council has carefully studied the
application of Finer Living and the aforesaid recommendations of
staff in relation thereto, and considers it to be in the best
interests of the City of Redding andits citizens to adopt said
recommendations and to amend the monthly subscriber rates of the
franchisee,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Redding that a new "Exhibit A" is hereby substituted
for attachment to Resolution No. 3240, establishing a new schedule
of rates to be charged by Finer Living, a division of Tele-Vue
Systems, Inc., as the franchisee of the City of Redding, as
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, such rates
to become effective January 1, 1977, subject to review again on
July 1, 1977.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Redding on the 6th day of December , 1976, and was
duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:

Where service at the subscriber's address is required .. $15.00
Where no service is required, bookkeeping charge only .. $ 5.00
RELOCATIO14 CHARGES
Actual cost of labor and materials provided that customer is given
a written estimate of such cost in advance and the actual charges
cannot exceed the written estimate.
UNDERGROUND SERVICE CHARGES
Underground cable television service in either home or place of
business shall be at the same monthly service rate as aerial ser-
vice. If such underground installation is provided as a requirement
of either State law or local ordinance, the installation charge
shall be $25.00. If the underground installation is provided at
the request of the customer or property owner, the installation
charge will be the cost of actual labor and materials used, pro-
vided that the customer be given a written estimate of such cost
in advance, and that such cost shall not exceed the estimate.
