A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING ORDERING THE INSTALLATION OF "STOP" SIGNS ON ORO STREET AT ITS TWO INTERSECTIONS WITH WISCONSIN AVENUE, AND ON TRAVONA STREET AT WISCONSIN AVENUE. WHEREAS, Section 18-8 of the Redding City Code, 1959, as amended, specifically provides that the City Council may desig- nate by resolution the places where special stops are required, and WHEREAS, the Traffic and Parking Commission, in its memorandum dated October 15, 1976, has recommended that the City Council authorize the installation of "Stop" signs against west- bound traffic on Oro Street at its two intersections with Wisconsin Avenue, and against westbound traffic on Travona Street at Wisconsin Avenue, and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of Redding to adopt such recommendation, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding that the installation of "Stop" signs to stop west- bound traffic on Oro Street at its two intersections with Wisconsin Avenue, and to stop westbound traffic on Travona Street at Wisconsin Avenue, is hereby authorized and approved, and no person shall here- after operate a motor vehicle contrary to said signs. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro- duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 15th day of November , 1976, and was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN: Anderson, Demsher, Gard, Pugh, and Fulton NOES: COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None ATTEST: LEE D.
