HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso. 1976-134 - Confirming paid and unpaid list and requesting that auditor of County of Shasta shall make extension of installments thereof on the tax rolls, Sequoia Street Extension Assessment District 1976-1M RESOLUTION NO. 7L - Z,3 q RESOLUTION CONFIRMING PAID AND UNPAID LIST AND REQUESTING THAT THE AUDITOR OF THE COUNTY OF SHASTA, STATE OF CALIF- ORNIA, SHALL MAKE EXTENSION OF INSTALLMENTS THEREOF ON THE TAX ROLLS, SEQUOIA STREET EXTENSION ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 1976-1, CITY OF REDDING, SHASTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding, Shasta County, California, as follows:. WHEREAS, there is on file in the office of the City Treasurer of the City of Redding, Shasta County, California, in accordance with the provisions of Sections 8620 and 10603 of the Streets and Highways Code, a complete Paid and Unpaid List of all assessments in the Sequoia Street Extension Assessment District 1976-1, City of Redding, Shasta County, California, a copy of which Paid and Un- paid List is annexed to this Resolution, marked "Exhibit A," and by this reference incorporated herein and made a part hereof; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Paid and Unpaid List attached hereto and marked "Exhibit A" is confirmed by this City Council and ratified as the statement of paid and unpaid assessments upon the security of which the bonds are to be issued in said proceed- ings; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Auditor of the County of Shasta is hereby requested and directed, in accordance with the provisions of Section 8682 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, to enter in his assessment roll on which taxes will next become due opposite each lot or parcel of land affected in a space marked "public improvement assessment" or by other suitable designa- tion, the several installments of such assessment coming due the fiscal year covered by such assessment roll, including in each case the interest due on such total assessments, and also including a per- centage of one-fourth of one per cent of the amount of such installments and of such interest so entered, and that such U%0UU ". _. -.W. entry is made each year during the life of the bonds to be issued in said proceedings; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in accordance with the provisions of Section 8685 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, if any lot or parcel of land affected by any assessment is not separately assessed on the tax roll so that the installment of the assessment to be collected can be conveniently entered thereon, then the Auditor shall enter on the roll a description of the lot or parcel affected, with the name of the owners, if known, but otherwise known as "unknown owners," and extend the proper in- stallments opposite the same; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Auditor and other county officials of the County of Shasta are requested to comply with the provisions of Part 8, Division 10, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California with relation to special assessments. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of Redding, Shasta County, California, at a regulate meeting thereof, held on the 1st day of November, 1976, by the following vote, to wit: AYES• COUNCILMEN: Anderson, Demsher, Gard, Pugh, and Fulton NOES • COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT• COUNCILMEN: None MILDRED L. BRAYTON, City Clerk, City of Redding, Shasta County, California -2- J PAID AND UNPAID LIST WHEREAS, assessment for the improvements and acquisitions to be made in Sequoia Street Extension Assessment District 1976-1, City of Redding, Shasta County, California, was confirmed by the City Council of the City of Redding on the 20th day of September, 1976, and was recorded in the office of the Director of Public Works of the City of Redding on the 27th day of September, 1976, reference hereby being made to the Resolution of Intention, the En- gineer's Report and the proceedings on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Redding, Shasta County, California; and WHEREAS, it is required that a statement of all payments received upon the assessment be made and a statement of the unpaid assessments be set forth; NOW, THEREFORE, the undersigned City Treasurer of the City of Redding hereby returns a written statement of all payments received upon said assessment and all unpaid assessments remaining, as follows, to wit: LIST OF ASSESSMENTS PAID Assessment and Diagram Amount Number Paid 1 $ 2,665.00 2 3,280.00 4 4,153.20 5 3,511.55 TOTAL PAID $13,609.75 LIST OF ASSESSMENTS UNPAID 3 Dated: November 1, 1976. $ 8,554.25 PAULINE J.
