HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso. 1976-129 - Consenting to and calling a joint public hearing on the proposed amendment no. 2 to the Redevelopment plan for Redding Midtown Project no. 1• RESOLUTION NO.y7 • A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING CONSENTING TO AND CALLING A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE REDDING MIDTOWN PROJECT NO. 1. WHEREAS, the Redding Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency"), by Resolution No. R.R.A. 76-11, on October 25, 1976, submitted to the City Council of the City of Redding proposed Amendment No. 2 to the Redevelopment Plan for the Redding Midtown Project No. 1 (the "Amendment"), and consented to and requested that the City Council call a joint public hearing of the Agency and the City Council to consider and act upon the proposed Amendment, and WHEREAS, the consent of the Agency and of the City Council of the City of Redding is required by the California Community Re- development Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33458) in order to conduct a joint public hearing on the proposed Amendment, and WHEREAS, the City Council acknowledges receipt of the proposed Amendment, along with the Report to the City Council on the Amendment, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding does resolve as follows: Section 1. The City Council hereby consents to and,.at the request of the Redding Redevelopment Agency, calls a joint public hearing of the Agency and the City Council on Monday, November 22, 1976, at 7:30 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, 1313 Market Street, Redding, California, to consider and act upon the proposed Amendment No. 2 to the Redevelopment Plan for the Redding Midtown Project No. 1 and all documents and evidence per- taining thereto. Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Redding shall, in cooperation with the Executive Director of the Agency, prepare, publish and mail such notices and documents, and do all other acts as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this Resolution. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro- duced and read at an adjourned regular meeting of the City Council -1- of the City of Redding on the 25th day of October, 1976, and was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN: Demsher, Gard, Pugh, and Fulton NOES: COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Anderson LE9 D.
