A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
PROHIBITING PARKING AT 1530 LAKE BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, Section 18-27 of the Redding City Code, 1959, as
amended, specifically provides that the City Council may designate by resolu-
tion additional areas unsuitable, dangerous or inconvenient for parking
purposes, and
WHEREAS, the Traffic and Parking Commission in its memorandum
dated September 15, 1976, has recommended that parking be prohibited at all
times on 125 feet of frontage at 1530 Lake Boulevard to prevent parked cars
from encroaching on a through lane, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered such recommendation
and deems it in the best interest of the City to adopt same,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding as follows:
1. That parking be prohibited at all times on 125 feet of
frontage at 1530 Lake Boulevard.
2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized
and directed to install the appropriate signs and markings to accomplish the
purpose of this Resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding
on the 4th day of October , 1976, and was duly adopted at said meeting by
the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Demsher, Gard, Pugh, and Fulton
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
