A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF A STORM DRAINAGE
EASEMENT ACROSS PROPERTY ON MERCHANT STREET WEST OF CANBY
ROAD.
WHEREAS, proceedings have.been duly conducted and held in
accordance with the provisions of the Public Service Easements
Vacation Law, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding finds
and determines that the hereinafter described real property is
unnecessary for present or prospective public easement purposes or
other public use,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding
hereby resolves and orders as follows:
1. That certain real property in the City of Redding,
County of Shasta, State of California, being a storm drainage ease-
ment across property on Merchant Street west of Canby Road, and as
the same is more particularly described as follows:
The southerly twenty-one feet and the westerly twenty-six
feet of Parcel 1, and the northerly five feet of Parcel 2,
as shown on that certain Parcel Map recorded in Book 6 of
Parcel Maps at page 120, Shasta County Records; together with
the northerly five feet of Lots 16 and 17, as shown on that
certain Map recorded in Book 12 of Maps at page 77, Shasta
County Records,
be and the same is hereby vacated and abandoned as a public utility
easement.
2. That the City Clerk be and she is hereby authorized
and directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution, attested
by the City Clerk under the seal of the City of Redding, to be
recorded in the office of the Shasta County Recorder, Redding,
California.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Redding on the 20th_ day of September
