HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso. 1976-107 - Acknowledging receipt of notice of intention to circulate petition for annexation of Henderson Road Annex no. 1RESOLUTION NO. ­ 74—jo,, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING ACKNOWLEDGING THE RECEIPT OF NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CIRCULATE A PETITION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "HENDERSON ROAD ANNEX NO. 1" AND AN AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION THEREOF, AND APPROVING THE CIRCULATION OF THE PETITION. WHEREAS, on September 14, 1976, there was filed with the City Clerk of the City of Redding a copy of a Notice of Intention to Circulate Petition Relating to Annexation of Certain Territory to the City of Redding under the Annexation Act of 1913, pertain- ing to territory designated as "Henderson Road Annex No. 1", accom- panied by a written statement containing reasons for the Petition, together with an Affidavit of Publication of the said Notice of Intention in the Record -Searchlight, and.. WHEREAS, the Anr.e_:ation Act of 1913 provides that the City Council may adopt a r%`..solution acknowledging receipt of the Notice and approving circulation of the Petition, and WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission has approved the proposed annexation, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding that receipt of the Notice, Statement and Affidavit is hereby acknowledged, and that approval is hereby given for the circulation of the Petition for Annexation of that terri- tory designated as "Henderson Road Annex No. 1", twenty-one (21) days after the publication of said Notice and Statement. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 20th day of September, 1976, and was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN: Anderson, Demsher, .
