HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso. 1976-104 - Ordering installation of a "stop" sign on Beltline Road at intersection with Oasis Road• RESOLUTION NO. %l ­1U �L 0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING ORDERING THE INSTALLATION OF A "STOP" SIGN ON BELTLINE ROAD AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH OASIS ROAD. WHEREAS, Section 18-8 of the Redding City Code, 1959, as amended, specifically provides that the City Council may designate by resolution the places where special stops are required, and WHEREAS, the Traffic and Parking Commission, in its letter dated August 10, 1976, has recommended that the City Council auth- orize the installation of a "Stop" sign against northbound vehicles on Beltline Road at its intersection with Oasis Road, and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of Redding to adopt such recommendation, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding that the installation of a "Stop" sign against northbound traffic on Beltline Road at Oasis Road is hereby auth- orized and approved, and no person shall hereafter operate a motor vehicle contrary to said sign. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro- duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 7th day of September , 1976, and was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN: Anderson, Demsher, Gard, Pugh, and Fulton NOES: COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None ATTEST: MILDREDJL.• BRAYTO , C- ty Clerk FORM APPROVED: U EARL D.
