A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF PORTIONS OF SOUTH STREET, HIGHLAND AVENUE, AND SACRAMENTO STREET. WHEREAS, proceedings have been duly conducted and held in accordance with the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (Streets and Highways Code Sections 8300, et seq.), and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding finds and determines that the hereinafter described real property is not necessary for present or prospective public street purposes, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding hereby resolves and orders as follows: 1. That certain real property in the City of Redding, County of Shasta, State of California, being portions of South Street, Highland Avenue, and Sacramento Street, as the same are more particularly described as follows: All that portion of Sacramento Street lying between Blocks C and D and between the east half of Blocks E and F of the Highland Addition, said street being situated between the east line of the alley in Blocks E and F and Highland Street; together with that portion of Highland Street lying between the north line of Sacramento Street and the south line of South Street; and that portion of South Street lying between the westerly line of the east one-half of Block D and the easterly line of Highland Street, all as shown on that cer- tain map recorded in Volume 1 of Maps, at page 64, Shasta County Records, be and the same are hereby vacated and abandoned as public streets. 2. That the City of Redding does reserve therein a 20 - foot strip of land for alley purposes lying within the boundaries of Sacramento Street between Blocks C and D, said strip being the extension of an existing alley as shown on the attached map. 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Redding be and she is hereby authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution, attested by the City Clerk under the seal of the City of Redding, to be recorded in the office of the Shasta County Recorder, Redding, California.
