A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
OF INTENTION TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF ABATEMENT
UNDER CHAPTER 9 . 36 OF THE REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE ON
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF REDDING. (Owned
by Vern D. Camp, 3141 Churn Creek Road) .
WHEREAS, the provisions of Chapter 9 . 36 of the Redding
Municipal Code provide that all buildings or structures which are
structurally unsafe , or are dilapidated from old age, neglect,
decay or other causes within the City of Redding , which constitute
a fire menace or are dangerous to human life, or a likely resort
for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a nuisance by
the City Council of the City of Redding and thereafter abated as
provided therein, and
WHEREAS , the Fire Marshal has made an inspection of the
building located on real property as hereinafter described, and
has declared it to be unsafe and/or a hazard to safety, health and
public welfare,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Redding, as follows :
That it is the intention of this City Council to begin
legal proceedings of abatement under Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding
Municipal Code on the following described property:
All that portion of Section 8 , T. 31 N. , R. 4 W. , M.D.M. ,
described as follows :
Commencing at the Northwest corner of Section 8 , T. 31 N. ,
R. 4 W. , M.D.M. , thence, S. 89°18 ' E. , 20.00 feet; thence,
S. 0°41 ' 16" E. , 669. 01 feet to the true point of beginning
of this parcel; thence, S. 89°21 ' E. , 660. 00 feet; thence,
S. 0°41 ' 16" E. , 198 .06 feet; thence, N. 89°21 ' W. , 660 .00
feet; thence, N. 0°41 ' 16" W. , 198 . 06 feet to the point of
beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said building mentioned herein-
above is hereby declared to be a public nuisance as provided by
Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal Code, and is hereby ordered
to be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition or removal .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fire Marshal and the Board
of Appeals of the City of Redding are hereby directed to take all
proceedings provided in Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal Code.
