A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS
ON THE COST OF CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS IN
THE GOLD -LINCOLN ALLEY WEST OF GARDEN STREET, AND MAKING
ASSESSMENTS TO PAY THE COST THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets filed with the
City Clerk on the 14th day of July, 1976, his report of the cost
of constructing complete alley improvements adjacent to the prop-
erties described in said report, and
WHEREAS, July 19, 1976, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. was
fixed as the day and hour for the City Council to hear and pass
upon said report, together with objections and protests raised by
the property owners liable to be assessed for the work of such
construction and other interested persons, and
WHEREAS, the City Council did hear the matter on the
19th day of July, 1976, and at the conclusion of said hearing did
deny any and all protests made by said property owners,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Redding as follows:
1. That the payment of all assessments Fifty Dollars
($50.00) or more, as the same are hereinafter confirmed, may be
made in five annual installments and that payments of assessments
so deferred shall bear interest on the unpaid balance at the rate
of six per cent (6%) per annum, said interest beginning to run on
the thirty-first day after the confirmation of such assessment.
2. That certain report, filed by the Superintendent of
Streets with the City Clerk on the 14th day of July, 1976, describ-
ing and setting forth the costs of complete alley improvements
adjacent to:

Assessor's Parcel .#102-280-20, a vacant parcel located at the
most westerly end of the alley,
in the Gold -Lincoln alley west of Garden Street, is hereby accepted
and confirmed, and assessment is hereby levied upon the real prop-
erties described in said report in the amount set opposite each
description.
3. That if any assessment herein levied is not paid within
thirty days after the adoption of this Resolution, the Superintendent
of Streets shall forthwith file with the Shasta County Auditor a
notice of lien against each parcel of real property described in
said report, and said Shasta County Auditor is hereby directed to:
(a) Add the amount of any assessment of less than Fifty
Dollars ($50.00) to the next regular tax bill for taxes levied
against each such parcel of land, in accordance with the provisions
of Chapter 27 of the Improvement Act of 1911 (Streets and Highways
Code Sections 5870, et seq.), and
(b) Collect any assessments of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) or
more in installments as hereinabove provided, in accordance with the
provisions of Chapter 27 of the Improvement Act of 1911 (Streets and
Highways Code, Sections 5870, et seq.).
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Redding on the 19th day of July, 1976, and was duly adopted at
said meeting by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Anderson, Demsher, Gard, Pugh, and Fulton
