HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso. 1976-060 - Prohibiting parking on both sides of Hilltop Drive between Cypress Avenue and Highway 44• RESOLUTION NO. • A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING PROHIBITING PARKING ON BOTH SIDES OF HILLTOP DRIVE BETWEEN CYPRESS AVENUE AND HIGHWAY 44. WHEREAS, Section 18-27 of the Redding City Code, 1959, as amended, specifically provides that the City Council may desig- nate by resolution additional areas unsuitable, dangerous or inconvenient for parking purposes, and WHEREAS, the Traffic and Parking Commission has recom- mended that parking be prohibited at all times on both sides of Hilltop Drive between Cypress Avenue and Highway 44, to accommodate the installation of a left turn lane, and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered such recommenda- tion and deems it in the best interest of the City to adopt same, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding as follows: 1. That parking is prohibited at all times on both sides of Hilltop Drive between Cypress Avenue and Highway 44 in the City of Redding. 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby auth- orized and directed to install the appropriate signs and markings to accomplish the purpose of this Resolution. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 21st day of June , 1976, and was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:, AYES: COUNCILMEN: Anderson, Demsher, Gard,.
