RESOLUTION NO. !_�L_37
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
RESERVING ONE PARKING SPACE ON BUTTE STREET WEST OF
COURT STREET FOR USE BY DISABLED PERSONS.
WHEREAS, Section 18-53.1 of the Redding City Code, 1959,
as amended, specifically provides that the City Council may desig-
nate by resolution additional places where parking may be reserved
for disabled persons, and
WHEREAS, the County of Shasta has been making provisions
for access to the Courthouse by disabled persons and has requested
that the City Council designate a parking space on the south side
of Butte Street by the Sheriff's office west of Court Street for
the exclusive use for parking by disabled persons, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works of the City has
recommended compliance with such request,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Redding that the following place is hereby reserved
for parking by disabled persons as provided in City Code Section -
18 -53.1:
The first parking space on the south side
of Butte Street, east of the eastern drive-
way to the Sheriff's office west of Court
Street,
and no other person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle in the
designated space for any length of time whatever.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Redding on the 19th day of April , 1976, and was duly
adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Anderson, Demsher, Gard, Pugh, and Fulton
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
